Matt founded the company in Austin and has built his career around one question: how do you build a house that lasts? He hosts The Build Show, where he walks job sites across the country with builders, architects and building scientists, explaining why a detail matters rather than just showing that it looks good. He has also written for Fine Homebuilding on roofing, house wrap and building efficiently in a hot climate.

We work cost-plus. You see every invoice and receipt, and our trade partners are paid fairly for skilled work.
